The Savvy System Review – Abbey Ashley Legit? [Virtual Savvy]

Hey, it’s Mark from MarksInsights.

If you’ve been researching ways to make money from home, chances are you’ve come across The Savvy System by Abbey Ashley (also known as “Virtual Savvy”).

It’s one of the biggest virtual assistant (VA) programs online — and the marketing makes it sound like the perfect path for beginners who want to start earning quickly.

But is The Savvy System actually good… or overpriced hype?

Before we dive in…

After more than 15 years testing countless ways to make money online, I’ve narrowed it down to one model that consistently works.

It’s simple, scalable, and beginner-friendly.

If I had to start all over again today, this is exactly what I’d do:

What Is The Savvy System?

The Savvy System is Abbey Ashley’s flagship program that teaches you how to build, launch, and scale a virtual assistant business from scratch.

It’s structured around three phases:

  • Launch – Discover your skills, set up your brand, price your services.

  • Grow – Learn how to market yourself, land clients, and stay consistently booked.

  • Scale – Systemise your business, hire subcontractors, and turn it into a real agency.

In total, you’re getting 14 modules, dozens of templates, business setup guidance, marketing scripts, and client acquisition strategies.

For beginners, it covers pretty much everything you need to get your first VA clients.

I actually covered it in detail on my YouTube channel:

Who Is Abbey Ashley?

Abbey Ashley started her VA business in 2015 and (according to her story) became fully booked within 30 days. She later transitioned into teaching and built The Virtual Savvy, one of the largest brands in the VA training space.

Whether you’re a fan or not, she’s built:

  • A large, active VA community

  • Thousands of success stories

  • A repeatable system beginners can follow

Her teaching style is friendly and practical, and her community is one of the strongest selling points of the program.

What’s Included Inside The Savvy System?

Based on the transcript and the course breakdown, here’s what you actually get:

Complete Step-By-Step Training

From choosing your services to setting up your website, invoicing, contracts, and the exact process for landing clients.

Lifetime Access + Free Updates

This is a big one — most course creators charge for updates. Abbey includes them.

Private Mastermind Community

One of the strongest parts of the program. You get:

  • Networking with other VAs

  • Accountability calls

  • Support from coaches

  • Private job leads

For many people, this alone makes the course worthwhile.

Templates + Script Vault

You get:

  • Client onboarding templates

  • Proposal templates

  • Portfolio guidance

  • Email scripts

  • Pricing templates

  • LinkedIn optimization training

  • WordPress setup walk-throughs

It’s basically a full “starter kit” for VA businesses.

Savvy Vault (Optional Upgrade)

If you want deeper technical skills (Canva, bookkeeping, podcast editing, content creation, and dozens of other skills), you can upgrade to the $2,997 Ultimate Package.

The Savvy System Cost

Here’s the breakdown:

  • $1,497 one-time payment

  • $147/month over 12 months

  • $2,997 for the “Ultimate” package with Savvy Vault included

There’s also a 30-day money-back guarantee, which reduces some of the risk.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Proven system with lots of success stories

  • Great for beginners who want to work from home

  • Lifetime access

  • Templates remove 80% of the guesswork

  • Supportive, active community

  • Private job leads available

Cons

  • Pricey for people starting from zero

  • Requires effort — not a passive income program

  • VA work can be competitive depending on your niche

  • Not ideal if you want a business with leverage or automation

Does The Savvy System Really Work?

Yes — if you put in the work.

The Savvy System isn’t one of those “done-for-you, push-button income” scams. You do have to:

  • Learn a skill

  • Pitch clients

  • Put in hours to deliver work

But for people who follow the system, results in the range of $1,000–$5,000 per month are very realistic. Some students scale further by building an agency.

The key difference is that Abbey teaches business fundamentals — not just skills, but how to actually find clients and build momentum.

Who Is The Savvy System Best For?

This program is ideal for:

  • Complete beginners wanting to work from home

  • People who want a legitimate service-based business

  • Stay-at-home parents

  • Anyone wanting flexible hours

  • People who like admin, creative tasks, or digital services

It’s NOT for you if:

  • You want passive income

  • You don’t want to deal with clients

  • You want the fastest path to $10K/month

  • You don’t want to learn real skills

My Honest Thoughts

The Savvy System is one of the strongest VA courses online. It’s well structured, beginner friendly, and supported by a huge community.

However…

Virtual assistance is still a service business. You’re trading time for money. There are far more scalable models with fewer bottlenecks and far more earning potential.

If you’re looking for the most realistic, beginner-friendly business model, I’d choose something else (see below)

Better Alternatives (What I Personally Recommend)

If you want a more scalable online business model — not just a service job — here are the programs I usually rate higher:

Local Marketing Vault (Lead Generation Program)

One of the best programs for learning local lead gen and running simple ads for small businesses.

Two Page Sites (Beginner-Friendly Lead Gen Framework)

This is my top recommendation because it’s simple, scalable, and works without a personal brand, selling, or showing your face.

Ippei Kanehara’s Lead Gen Model

A more traditional local SEO-style lead gen system.

These alternatives have significantly more upside than virtual assistance and are better long-term business models.

Final Verdict: Is The Savvy System Worth It?

If your goal is to start a service-based business from home with structure and support, The Savvy System is a solid choice.

But if your goal is to build a business with leverage, automation, and long-term potential, there are stronger models that can scale far beyond typical VA income.

Either way…

Before you go — if you actually want something real that works online, this is what I personally recommend after 15+ years of testing everything:
