My Verdict on The AI Marketers Club (Is It Any Good?)
If you’ve been around the internet marketing space, chances are you’ve come across John Crestani.
I have. I’ve followed him for a while now, and I’ve even been a customer of one of his programs.
So when I heard about The AI Marketers Club, I had a fair idea of where John was headed with it. And to be honest, it feels like he’s doing what a lot of marketers are doing right now: jumping on the AI bandwagon.
And look, I get it. AI is hot. Everyone from solopreneurs to Silicon Valley execs wants a slice of that pie. The hype is massive, and it creates this illusion that AI can do everything for you, including build funnels, write copy, create ads, maybe even sell your product while you’re asleep.
But something I’ve noticed with The AI Marketers Club: slapping AI onto a marketing system doesn’t automatically make it effective.
You Still Have to Be a Good Marketer
What concerns me—and what I think you should really be aware of—is how much the system leans on AI as if it can replace actual marketing expertise. It can’t.
I’ve played around with enough AI tools to know that they’re only as good as the person guiding them. AI doesn’t think strategically. It doesn’t understand your customer’s psychology. It doesn’t know your market, your niche, your story, or what makes your offer unique.
It needs someone at the wheel who knows how to market—and that’s where I think the Club starts to fall short.
The marketing fundamentals still matter. If you don’t know how to sell, how to position, how to create offers, or how to write persuasive messaging, then it really doesn’t matter how many AI prompts or tools you’ve got at your disposal. They might get you some quick wins here and there, especially if you strike lucky with the right niche or traffic source.
But sustained success? That requires skill. And that skill doesn’t come from AI. It comes from you leveling up as a marketer.
This isn’t a dig at John Crestani, by the way. He knows what he’s doing in terms of product launches and packaging info into digestible systems.
But the idea that a complete beginner can come in, push a few buttons, and let AI do all the heavy lifting? That’s a bit too optimistic for my taste. Unless you’re also learning the “why” behind the AI outputs—why this copy works, why this funnel converts—you’re just going through the motions. And eventually, the results will dry up.
Therefore, if you are genuinely curious about marketing and you’re willing to go beyond the surface level, you might find some value in the AI Marketers Club as a toolkit. But if you’re hoping it’s a shortcut that lets you skip the hard parts of learning marketing, you’ll be disappointed.
AI is a powerful assistant—not a replacement for you knowing your craft. And that’s the part I think a lot of people gloss over when they see the hype.
